　　HXSP is not dying. I know it because I have seen it revive and grow. No one can contemplate current conditions without finding much that is unsatisfying and still more that is discouraging. But I know that this is not true.
　　HXSP will not always run smoothly. Sometimes it will be rising toward the heights－then reverse itself and start downward. But the great fact to remember is that a line drawn through the middle of the peaks and the valleys has an upward trend.
　　Have we found our happy valley?
　　Happiness lies not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement. There are many ways in which it can be helped, but it can never be helped merely by talking about it. Many voices are heard as we face a great decision. Timidity asks,“How difficult is the road ahead?” Comfort says:“Tarry a while.” But I say: ”This is a good spot.” ”We must act and act quickly, boldly, decisively.”
　　From this faith we will not be moved!
　　If we have any heritage, it has been that. If we have any destiny, we have found it in that direction.
